The equipment that we shall be useing for this music video is Cameras,tripods,dv players,props,costume,headphones,boom poles and lights.

Disconnected-Brief

If i was to shoot a video for this song then i would have her playing the piano while looking depressed. The video would switch to her brother who is at war and then switch back to her so its its like you can see what she is imagining about her brother at war so its like you can see her thoughts.
 It would also seem like while her brother is in action at war he is remebering his sister while in action at war.
 About half of the video will be at the piano where you will be abel to see her playing piano and singing while looking depressed and the other half of the video will be at war where you can see war action.
 The video will be separated to four quarters two quarters will be by the piano and the other two quarters will be at war.
The aim of the video is to make people think and feel the emotions of the brother and sister.

Evaluation on our presentation for sound in film

As a group we felt that our presentation was presented well and had important information that was relevant to the topic, which we were presenting. The film that we chose was space jam and we chose to talk about the main basketball scene in the film because we felt that it was the best scene from the film and also had the most sound effects. 

If we could go back and change anything about our presentation then it would have been more information about how the music and sound fitted into the film. We also could of mentioned some of the names of the songs that where in the film and the artist who made them. We also could have mentioned more of the names to the actors in the film.

We felt that we used our glossaries to the best of our ability delivered all information that we had on our presentation well.

Overall we learnt a lot about the film space jam and Looney tunes as well as different ways to edit sound into animated films. I felt that our presentation was good but looking back of had some improvement. I felt that we all worked well as a team.

I feel that seeming that the song is about her brother going off to war then maybe if the song had a video them it should be about her thinking of her brother at war. It should have her singing then going to her thoughts when you see her brother in action at war. When the focus is on her then she should look depressed because obviously she is concerned for her brothers safety. Her brother would be seen involved in marches as well as being seen in action shooting his gun. She would be seen playing the piano and singing while looking depressed.

Jazz Morley disconnected: the initial listen

The song is about her brother going to war. The Mood of the song is very emotional for obvious reasons which helps to get the listener to to get into the song. Sounds like a lot of soul was put into the vocals. Sounds similar to other pieces of music i have herd like Addel for example. I would say that the songs closets genre is soul. I would compare this song to Addels some one like you.

The setting of this clip is somewhere out in the country side. Most of the costume in this clip is police uniforms. Props are police dogs, cars, Vans and more. Location is a village in the country side. The main actor is David Jason.

single vs multi camera setup

A multi camera setup consists of four cameras with two cameras up front to the left and right and two cameras together at the back. This makes the multi camera setup perfect for live interviews or live sporting events like football and rugby.

Single camera setup consists of only one camera. That’s why TV shows like drama shows often use single cameras because of how much space they have for the set that they are filming on. Single camera is often used for documentaries. Single camera is often used in films.

The advantages of multi camera setup are that it can catch all sorts of actions. The only disadvantage of multi camera is that its more equipment and that means more effort and costs more.

The main advantage of single camera set up is for example that there is more space on the location of filming.

The disadvantages of single camera is that editing takes tie when you have to edit a clip which has two people in it for example because you need to link them together.

You would probably see a multi camera scene in a single camera show when a scene that has more than two or three people in it.

I feel that multi camera shows are better to watch and that filming in multi camera is better than single camera because you get more detail with multi camera.

In drama shows single camera setup is often used in scenes that are shot outside and multi camera setup is used often in scenes that are shot inside.

Diegetic sound can be either on screen or off screen depending on whatever its source is within the frame or outside the frame.

Non - Diegetic sound is represented as coming from the a source outside story place.

Ambient sound or ambient audio means the background sounds which are present in a scene or location. Common ambient sounds include wind, water, birds, crowds and much more.

SFX is sound effects that are manufactured and used in TV, Films and Video games.

Mood sound is sound that sets the mood.

Tone sound is sound that can be recognized by its vibration.

Genre is different types of music being performed.

Theme music that is associated with a particular performer.

voiceover is a production technique which is used is not part of a narrative which is used in TV, radio and films.

Musical score a written form of musical composition.

Synchronous sound are those sounds that are synchronized or matched with what is viewed.

Asynchronous sound which is indigenous to the action but not precisely synchronized with the action.

contrapuntal sound that does not match what is  going on in the screen.

silence is when no sound is herd at all.

selective sound sound added to build impact to the film.

sound bridges is when a sound effects is used to lead into another scene.
